The Museum of Modern Art Modern Mondays The series, which celebrates experimentation and innovation in the moving image, returns from September 12 and will run until May 2023. This year’s lineup includes in-person appearances from artists and filmmakers of all generations and represents the breadth of moving image practices today: Wolfgang Tillmans, Adam Khalil and Bailey Sweitzer, Moyra Davey, foxy can, Alfredo Jaar, Simon Liu, Linda Goode Bryantand Youri Ancarani.

This long series of screenings builds on the legacy of MoMA’s Cineprobe (1968-2002) and Video Viewpoints (1978-2002) programs, inviting artists working in film and video to showcase their work in an intimate, each evening presenting an opportunity for the public to interact with the artists, as well as with the curators and other guests. Often showcasing new films to New York audiences or building on concurrent MoMA exhibitions through in-depth dialogue, Modern Mondays is a platform for emerging artists and pioneering figures at the forefront of the art form. cinematographic.
